CPE Programme on Finance Bill as passed by Parliament will be held on 15th May 2005.

During the period the following programmes were held

a. A CPE Study Circle Meeting was held on 17th July 2005. The programme was organised on the topic “Fringe Benefit Tax” at Bangur Avenue Resident Hall and speaker was Sri S.S.Gupta, FCA. 41 persons were attended and get benefited from the programme.

b. A CPE Programme was organised on 15th May 2005. The programme was organised on the topic “Finance Bill 2005 as passed by the both House of Parliament with Emphasis of FBT” at Sribhumi Bikash Manch and speaker was Mr. P.K.Agarwalla, FCA. 40 persons were attended the programme. The discussion was live and interactive.

Past events

a. A CPE Study Circle Meeting was held on 24th April 2005. The programme was organised on the topic “Budget 2005-2006” at Sribhumi Bikash Manch and speaker was Mr. Santosh Bajaj, FCA. 16 persons were attended the programme.

b. A Half day Cpe seminar on the topic BUDGET' 2004 was held on 9th July, 2004 at Kala Mandir 48 Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata _ 700017 jointly with DTPA and ACAE. The speaker was Mr. R.S. Jhawar, Mr. D.B.Desai, Mr. N.K. Poddar. Mr. Amitav Kothari, and Mr. Suman Mukherjee. The programme was attended by 783 Chartered Accountants as well as 150 non Chartered Accountants.

c. A Half day CPE seminar on the topic Impact of Union Budget, 2004 on Capital Market was held on 24th July, 2004 at Merchant Chamber of Commerce, 15B Hemanta Basu Sarani, Kolkata _ 700001. The speaker was Mr. D. Chatterji, Mr. Vinod Kothari and Mr. K.N. Jain. The programme was attended by 69 members.

d. Your association organized a Study Circle meeting on “Procedure & Proceedings u/s 147 vis-a-vis u/s 148” on 28th August, 2005 at 10.00 A.M. at
